With decades of experience working with European tile and natural stone, Justin Richard decided it was time to bring a fresh, modern vision to the industry. He founded Urbano Inc. in 2015 with a clear mission to blend creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation into every project.

Justin’s strength is his commitment to creativity and perfection. He’s an award winner with proven talents in engineering new products that have been either machined or manufactured. He has a flair for architectural and landscape design, business development and innovative building techniques.

Justin has excelled in construction, holding countless certificates in building, drafting and the arts along with completed Real Estate, business management and financing courses (Algonquin College). His first major breakthrough in business was as co-founder of a company that quickly became an industry leader in backyard living and lifestyle featuring state-of-the-art pools.

He won over 34 prestigious awards in these early years tied directly to his passion for innovation and design and commitment to quality workmanship. In recognition for undertaking and delivering over 250 successful major residential projects, including a number of award winners, Justin was honoured with The Ottawa Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” award in 2008.
